Born in Fort Collins Colorado, Emery Wood was raised in Loveland co with his two parents Robin and Steve. Emery graduated from Mountain View High School (Loveland co) in the year 2008. Emery has worked for many companies throughout his life that has led him to refinishing kitchen cabinets and bathrooms. His First job was for his parents at his family's fireworks stands (Sparkies Inferno) in loveland when he was 5 years old moving boxes and helping with stocking of products and sales. When Emery turned 12 years old he had a paper route that he held for two years. Where he learned that delivering on time matters and having happy customers matters! He then moved forward into being a Janitor at local church scrubbing toilets and taking out trash. At the same time working at a drive in restaurant, counting back change, serving, and taking orders. From there he attended Mountain View High school where he was Home Coming King in his sophomore year of high-school, he performed the high-school News and dressed up as the high-school mascot. After graduating in 2008 Emery found himself working for a commercial Mexican restaurant for 5 years where he worked his way through the ranks to be a manager. Emery learned some Spanish, and how to build, develop teamwork, motivate and appreciate the people he worked with. He then began his journey in the beer Industry where he bottled beer by hand to create folly packs for New Belgium Brewing. His hands touched 14,400 bottles a day for three years, some days pulling doubles working through the night. Learning to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
From there Emery went on to work for a plastic forming company in Berthoud Colorado. He was a material handler helping build parts for the Disney Avatar Ride!
Now turning 30 Emery started throwing axes and knives at a local axe throwing venue in Loveland during covid. He began to excel in the sport rapidly. Leading him to 3 world championships and the rank of 33rd in the world. Emery then found a successful mom and pop shop that refinished cabinets. Emery learned the process and after some time wanted to gain more industrial information on how to be even more efficient in his work. Which found him at one of the biggest cabinet makers in Colorado! He gained logistical strategies for the fastest way to refinishing kitchens with the highest quality!
